Pre-Construction Services

Jim Johnson Group has a team that has worked together for many years working closely with our clients from lot assessment, architectural design, interior design, to construction completion.

 

During this phase we get to know more about you and your lifestyle needs. Tell us your hopes, ideas and thoughts. Bring clippings, tears out and pictures too. We want to see it all

 

Our design build process takes our customers from general ideas to a fully custom designed set of plans. After gathering all the necessary survey work, ranging from topography evaluation to tree surveying, you will work with our preferred Architects and Designers to put together a set of plans and specifications that fits your property and your needs.  We will work in stages from preliminary floor plan layout, to custom exterior elevation design and eventually a full construction set of plans. You will have complete design control, working hand in hand with our Architects, Designers and Interior Designers. 

 

We will set up a selection schedule which will include a timetable for when certain selections are due. You will meet with our preferred suppliers to select the items that go into your home. You will see the quote as soon as we get it so you can review, tweak and eventually this selection. We know these selections can change during the construction process and we have a procedure for handling this.

Our philosophy is to use a “pro-active”, instead of a “re-active” process. It’s all about communication!

Building with Jim Johnson Group gives you the option to explore some of the most cutting-edge building techniques and technologies. Being a Certified Green Professional, we make sure to keep up to date and offer an array of Green Building options including Spray Foam insulation, Geothermal cooling and heating, on demand tankless hot water heaters & solar systems just to name a few.

 

We proudly test our homes to ensure that we are building them properly and efficiently. A third-party engineer will make sure that the home is well suited to meet your structural warranty as well as confirm that the HVAC equipment and building envelope is performing to its design standards.
